All-American Scholar Program

Each year, the most academically accomplished Pop Warner kids compete for Academic All-American status.  This process begins at the association level (Hagerty is in Mid-Florida) and progresses up through the Regional levels (Hagerty is in the Southeast), continuing to the National level.  The Pop Warner Little Scholars program requires a minimum 98%GPA at the association and regional levels and a 96%GPA at the National level.

Each fall, students currently in grade 5 and higher will qualify for the PWLS program by providing a previous year’s report card reflecting a minimum 96% GPA.  Those qualifying students will receive an application to complete and return by the required date.  Once completed and returned to the Little Scholars Director, all applications are forwarded to the Mid-Florida Scholastics Board for review.  This board will select its finalists based on a combination of grades (85%) and achievements/extracurricular activities (15%).

Once selections have been made, each scholar will be notified via letter of their selection.  They will be invited to attend a banquet where they will be recognized for their achievements.

In addition, all student athletes who are in grades 8 and above are eligible for college scholarship money granted by various community and service organizations.  These will be presented to the winners at the scholar banquet.
