2012 Registration Policies

Registration for football and cheer is now open. The roster size is limited and a wait list may be implemented based on demand.

Registration is a 3 part process.

1. Online payment >>.

• Registration Fee for 2012 is $225 (football) & $250 (cheer) – sibling discounts are available.
  Sibling discounts: $25 for each child after a fully paid child.
• Volunteer Requirements for Parents: All parents of participants will be required to volunteer two hours per registered child.
• Volunteer buyout option: Parents may buy out the two-hour volunteer requirement for $50 per child. 

2. For football registration forms drop-off, contact Paul Mall and for cheer registration forms drop-off, contact Tracie Samillano.

3. July 21st Equipment Pick-up Day.

• There is a July 21st equipment pick-up day where you will receive your uniform and turn in final forms, health certificate, birth certificate and 2011-2012 report card. Please bring your child as we need to photograph them for the game check-in book.
• Discounted Youth physical available at July 21st equipment pick-up at the Hagerty High School old gym.

Hagerty Pop Warner encourages all of it participants to attend the 2012 Hagerty Football Summer Camp series.  These camps are put on by our high school coach, Nate Gierke, and are a fantastic value for the skills and instruction level given.  Similar camps can run hundred of dollars and you have to travel both within and outside the state of Florida.  These camps are in our backyard only minutes away.

Huskies Youth Speed, Conditioning, and Strength Camp – for anyone age 6 through rising 8th grader.  This camp will be held on Mondays and Thursdays beginning June 4th and will run until July 12th.  Training is from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  Strength training will follow.  Cost is $10 per session for speed and conditioning and $10 more per session to add strength training.

7th Annual Hagerty Youth Football Camp – for anyone age 6 through rising 8th grader.  This two-day camp will run Thursday June 28th (5:30 PM – 8:30 PM) and Friday June 29th (9:00 AM to noon).  Cost is $50.  This is a great camp to get introduced to many of the drills that we will be utilizing throughout the 2012 Pop Warner season.  Campers will also receive a t-shirt.

Hagerty Youth Football Conditioning Camp -  for anyone age 6 through rising 8th grader.  This camp runs Friday July 27th, Saturday July 28th, Monday July 30th, and Tuesday July 31st from 9:30 – 11:00 AM.  This is a great camp to get a head start on conditioning prior to the start of our season on August 1st.  Many of our players have participated in this camp before and they all said it gave them an edge heading into the first week of practice.

Parent Showcase: Thursday June 7th at 6:00 PM in the HHS Gym

Payment: All registrations and payments are due by May 21, 2012 for a rate of $60 per participant. Registrations can be turned into the front office at Hagerty High school or mailed to the address below. Registrations and payments received after May 21, 2012 is $70 and must be turned in at least 1 week prior to the camp date. Checks made payable to HHS.

Please note if you do not have the above items your child will not be registered and their spot on the team will not be guaranteed.

Required forms for July 21st equipment pick-up. All Paperwork Must be Complete and Correct Prior to issuance of any Association Equipment.

1. Copy of a valid Birth Certificate and original Birth Certificate (original will be returned after looked at)
2. 3 copies of a FULL 2011/2012 report card – must include the full school year or multiple report cards if the child attended multiple schools

There will be a separate physical for football and cheer.  Physicals cost $10.00 and will run from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM.  Please complete the physical form and arrive 30 minutes prior to your assigned equipment issue time.

Football Participants:  Practice pants, girdles, pad sets, and spare mouthpieces are not provided by the league.  These items will be available for purchase at the equipment handout.  Athletic supporters / cups and cleats (rubber molded only) are also required but will not be available for purchase.  All items are mandatory for participation.

Samuel Waiman won the scholarship that is given to honor the memory of Pop Warner members that have passed away.  Obviously I was very proud to be asked to present this award and even more proud that one of our own won the scholarship.  Congratulations to Sam and all the scholarship winners at Hagerty.  You make us all so proud.
